 Description: Recombinant SIV p27 is expressed as a Glutathione S-transferase (GST) fusion protein produced in the E.coli expression system.

 Purification: Recombinant p27-GST fusion protein is purified by GST-agarose affinity chromatography to a purity of > 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, reduced.

 Specificity: This protein binds to SIV positive simian serum polyclonal antibodies and epitope specific murine monoclonal antibodies in ELISA and Western ELISA.

 Application and Instructions of use

Recommended concentrations for use are approximate values. A dose dependent response assay should be performed to determine the optimal concentration for use in specific applications. Dilute p27 stock solution in PBS or tissue culture medium buffer immediately before use. ELISA assays may be performed with p27 in solid phase in 10-100ng range. Western ELISA may be performed in 100-500ng depending on the specificity of the primary antibody used in the test system.
